2 editions are described: a simple, and an advanced:

  • Dance of 2 couples, with couple mixing
  • Running steps, waltz
  • The dance is in 3 sections: a, b, c :
    • a: bar 1-5: running around forward, arm hook
    • b: bar 1-5: running around backwards, still arm hook
    • c: bar 6-14: tyrolese waltz
Then new couples dance together, if you can find one. Else you are in a fix.

chasse go go forward Couples run around forward, gents having left arm hooks.

chasse go go back again Gents still having left arm hooks, couples run around backwards.
next 4 bars polka Tyrolese waltz (or maybe just any waltz).
next 4 bars polka or two step Waltz.
until the end,
bar 14 
second time
Tyrolese waltz and waltz, the couple dance alone out into the ballroom, to make contact with a new couple for the start of the dance again. If the gent does not find a new available couple the gent is in a fix, and has to propose their private small dance until better luck next time.

The dance is repeated as long as pleased.

chasse go go back again Still running gents slow down to almost stop of their circular movement while ladies continue their fast running.
Gents grasp handhold and raise their left arms to lead their ladies to duck through the gateway, gent and lady still holding hands. And on the other side the ladies join right hands above all the other arms.

polka Having tied this sløjfe (or baked this cross bun) the four dancers run around circular
