Hamborg 6-tur (Hamburg 6-trip)

  • Dance of many couples, a mixer
  • Side running steps (4 steps per bar), walking steps  (2 steps per bar), polka
  • The dance is in 3 sections: a, b, c:
    • a: Phrase 1: big circle clockwise and anti clockwise
    • b: Phrase 2: chain (= grand right and left)
    • c: Phrase 3: polka with new partner

bar 1-6
(8 bars)		 big circle clockwise Big circle couple wise, holding hands,
side running steps clockwise.
Left foot side wards to the left, right foot up together with the left, left foot to the left again, etc. 4 steps per bar: left, right, left, right.
bar 1-6
repeated		 big circle anti clockwise Big circle side running steps anti clockwise.
bar 8 chain: right hand to partner Chain (= grand right and left), walking steps.
bar -13
(8 bars +
repeated)		 chain: left hand to the next (Chain).
bar 14-20
(8 bars +
repeated)		 polka with the new partner Polka with the new partner in the line of dancing.

The dance is repeated as long as pleased
