Animation of the dance

Bondepigen (Peasant Girl)

  • Dance of 3 persons (1 gent + 2 ladies, or 1 lady + 2 gents)
  • hop running steps  (1 step of 2 hops per bar)
  • The dance is in 2 sections: a, b :
    • a: bar 1-8: running in circles clockwise and anti clockwise
    • b: bar 9-16: right girl run under the arch, then left girl run under the arch

 

Bondepigen (Peasant Girl) - dance of 3 persons

bar 1-8 Circle of 3 persons hop running clockwise. 
Start: left foot 2 hops. 2 hops per bar. One foot per bar.
bar 1-8 Circle anti clockwise.
bar 9-12 The gent and his standing (or mincing) left lady form an arch, and the gent leads his right lady under this arch. She runs behind his back to run home. Then he follows under the arch.
The gent twists his left hand around inside the hand of his left lady.
bar 13-16 Same procedure with his left lady.
Dance of bar 9-16 is repeated.

The dance is repeated as long as pleased
